The Anxiety Relief Audio Program

On paper you're living the dream abroad.

In reality, the worry never switches off.

You speak the language well enough. You know your way around. And still your chest tightens before the school pickup, the team call, the visa appointment.

The Anxiety Relief Audio Program is the structured version of working with this. Self-paced and practical. Built for expats.

When anxiety doesn't match your life

You moved for the job, the partner, the adventure.

From the outside, it's going well. Somewhere along the way, your system stopped switching off. You wake at 5am with your heart going, replaying a conversation that ended hours ago. You're in the supermarket with foreign labels and something is pounding in your throat for no reason you can name. You perform "fine" at the school gate, then sit in the quiet apartment at 9:15 with an unease you can't place.

You've tried meditation. Saved the articles and following the podcasts. And still your body acts like something is wrong. If you recognise yourself here, you're in the right place.

Anxiety makes sense;

even when it doesn't feel like it does

Anxiety isn't a sign that something is wrong with you. It's your nervous system doing what it's built to do; scanning for threat and reacting fast.

The problem isn't the system. The problem is that the alarm has started firing in everyday moments that aren't actually dangerous. A crowded street. An unread email. A noise you can't place at 2am.

Anxiety isn't one isolated thing with one fix. Underneath all of it sits a loop; your body reacts, your thoughts spin, and your behaviour adapts to avoid the next wave. Each part feeds the other.

The issue here is that you cannot just think your way out of this loop. But, fortunately, you can learn how to work with it; one small piece at a time.

The Serenification Framework

It runs through the whole program. A structured way of working with the body, mind, behaviour, and the daily patterns that keep anxiety going.

How it works.

Understand the mechanism; anxiety stops feeling random once you see what your body and mind are actually doing.

Spot the patterns.

Recognise your triggers, and what you do with them. The supermarket, the inbox, the Sunday evening; the avoiding, the over-preparing, the extra glass of wine to take the edge off.

Connect the dots.

See the way through; how body, mind, and behaviour reinforce each other, and where you can step in.

Build new habits.

Repeat what works; small daily anchors that slowly retrain your system, instead of one big technique that doesn't hold.

This is a multi-pillar approach; body and mind treated as equal doorways into the same loop. That's what helps the change hold, instead of fading after a good week.

What's in the program

The program is built in seven modules. You move through them at your own pace.

MODULE 2

Building Awareness of Stress in Expat Life

The specific stressors that come with living abroad and how to actually spot them before they pile up.

MODULE 3

Lifestyle Support

Food, movement & play, nature, and rest; the everyday inputs that quietly shape how reactive your system is.

MODULE 4

Sleep Improvement

How sleep and anxiety feed each other, and what actually helps when nights have stopped feeling reliable.

MODULE 5

Working With Body & Mind

Body-based resets, awareness practices, and the inner conversation that shapes how the day lands.

MODULE 6

Decisions & What You Do

Saying no, setting limits, making decisions that match your life; the behaviours that protect calm long-term.

WHO THIS IS FOR

This program is for you if:

  • You're an expat, or living abroad long term
  • You're tired of collecting advice that never adds up
  • You want structure, not another technique
  • You can give it about 1,5 - 2 hours a week
  • You're willing to do the work

This program is probably not for you if…

  • You want a quick fix or a single hack
  • You're not ready to make this a priority

I'm Marloes.

I built this program because I needed it; severe anxiety hit me while I was living abroad, and after months of barely keeping my head above water I decided to treat it like real work. I read everything, tested the techniques, found what actually held up, and put it in order. And then repeated what worked. A lot.

I'm a Certified Coach. The program draws on CBT, ACT, mindfulness-based stress reduction, somatic work, exposure, and sleep psychology. What you get is all of it assembled for you, in an order that holds together; so you can understand your own anxiety and learn to work with it.

Everything you get, and what it costs.

Self Guided

The full program, complete on its own. The structured audio modules, workbooks for each stage, and the targeted meditations. It stands on its own, but it does ask for commitment; it's made for those ready to put in real time and focus.

Why this works when single methods don't

The relief that holds is the kind that's built from more than one angle. Most support for anxiety works just one. Meditation, or breathwork, or somatic work, or CBT, or ACT, or a lifestyle fix. One piece on its own rarely lasts.

The one place these usually come together is therapy. That's valid, and for many people it's the right choice. It's also costly, runs for a set period, and isn't something you can do at your own pace, on your own time, returning to it whenever you need.

And almost nothing brings all of it together for people living abroad, where the stressors are different, layered, and rarely named for what they are.

This is the full-spectrum version. The tools that genuinely work, in a structured order, built for expats; so your energy goes into the actual change, not into assembling it yourself.

If you're ready to stop assembling, this is the place.

Frequently asked

I didn't come to this through training;

I came to it because I needed it.

I'm Marloes. Anxiety ran a large part of my life, and it peaked while I was living abroad, far from anyone who knew me well.

When the anxiety got bad, it got bad fast. Every day, not in waves I could brush off. For the first few months I did the scattered thing; a bit of reading here, a tip there, whatever I came across. It got me nowhere. That was when it became obvious this needed real work, not more bits and pieces. So I went after it properly. I read everything I could find. I tried the techniques, the courses, a therapist, the apps, and all the things I used to roll my eyes at. I took it seriously and I put in the work.

It did get better. Slowly, and with my fair share of setbacks; the setbacks come with the work itself. What made it harder than it needed to be was the rest: holding a pile of separate tools, figuring out on my own what to use, what worked, and what didn't. The progress was real. But I struggled with the feeling of having to build the path while I was walking it.

What eventually helped me was figuring out what was working, and applying it in my life. Small, repeated steps, applied across the body and the mind, until calm gradually began to outweigh the anxiety. And in the end, the pieces actually connected.

The Anxiety Relief Audio Program is that same figuring out, already done and put in order, so you don't have to assemble it from scattered advice while you're already overwhelmed. It asks for real effort and repetition. What you get is one path instead of a pile of open tabs.

Watch the full story of how I got to peak anxiety and how I found my way back.
